About Me
Friendly 25 year old with 9+ years experience working alongside children with additional needs as well as mainstream nursery settings and secondary schools. Previously a safeguarding lead for a provision in Oxfordshire working with young people with severe and complex trauma. Prior to that, a deputy manager of an after school and holiday provision at a special school in Bicester where I managed a team of staff and was responsible for the safety of a session for up to twenty five young people with additional needs and disabilities. Currently work for the council, improving and assessing the quality of education received by children in the county. I am DBS checked and am happy to share this with families I work with. I do regular sitting for different families, who I’m sure would provide a reference for peace of mind, I have found connections on here with children 0-10 years old so have a wealth of experience in different ages. I am happy to support with dinner, bath and bedtime settling; an area I understand some minders may not wish to do. For me, play is at the heart of a child's development and I think it is imperative that children have the ability to express themselves and be creative through play. Theres nothing I love more than a sing song and dance around the kitchen, being creative with arts and crafts, role playing with action figures and dolls, or being outside (I believe opportunity to explore outdoors in all weathers is SO important!)
Very experienced with anxious children and always happy to meet first to ease your own worries as a parent. Also fine with animals and have my own car and a clean drivers licence.

My Availability
Evenings (4pm onwards) and weekends - get in touch to discuss! I work from home so may be able to offer some flexibility every now and then. Can provide sleep in overnights, or late shifts to cover weddings etc so you don’t have to hang up your dancing shoes too early!
