My Summary
About Me
I am a passionate, caring, and highly experienced childcare professional with a genuine love for supporting children to learn, grow, and thrive. With a strong background in early years education and leadership, I bring a calm, nurturing approach while also creating fun, engaging, and developmentally rich environments for children of all ages. I am currently working as a Nursery Manager and have experience of being a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and a DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead). These roles have strengthened my ability to understand each child as an individual, support a wide range of needs, and ensure children are always safe, happy, and well cared for.
I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families. I love planning creative activities—from messy play and outdoor adventures to story time and imaginative games—while also supporting routines, boundaries, and positive behaviour.
I am reliable, organised, and warm-hearted, and I take pride in creating a home-from-home environment where children feel secure, confident, and valued.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working with children from newborn babies through to early primary age, within both home and nursery settings. My experience has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of each stage of child development, enabling me to provide nurturing, age-appropriate care tailored to every child’s individual needs.
I have extensive experience caring for babies, including feeding (breast milk/formula), establishing sleep routines, weaning, and supporting early milestones such as rolling, crawling, and walking. I understand how important consistency, patience, and a calm approach are in the early stages of development.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also a parent to a 4-year-old child with autism and sensory needs. This has given me valuable, real-life experience in supporting additional needs, understanding sensory processing, and creating calm, structured environments that help children feel safe and regulated.
I currently work as a Nursery Manager, where I lead a team, oversee the day-to-day running of the setting, and ensure the highest standards of care and education. This role has strengthened my organisation, leadership, and communication skills, as well as my ability to manage multiple children and routines effectively.
Throughout my career, I have planned and delivered a wide range of activities in line with the EYFS, supporting children’s learning through play, creativity, and exploration. I am confident in managing daily routines, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting children’s emotional wellbeing.
My experience combines both practical, hands-on childcare and strong professional knowledge, allowing me to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow in confidence and feel truly cared for.
