About Me

I am a highly experienced and dedicated nanny with over 20 years of experience caring for children from newborn through to teenage years. I hold a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in SEN, EYFS and KS1, alongside a Level 3 National Diploma in Childcare, Health and Education.

I am a warm, energetic and approachable individual with a genuine passion for working with children. My experience as both a childcare professional and a mother has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, attentive, and emotionally supportive care. I am confident in understanding children’s individual needs, behaviours, and development, and I approach my work with both professionalism and a nurturing, maternal mindset.

Families I have worked with consistently describe me as reliable, caring, organised, and proactive. I take pride in building strong relationships with both children and parents, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a happy and supportive environment. I come with excellent references that reflect my commitment and dedication in both long-term and temporary roles.

My teaching background has given me a strong understanding of child development and learning. I was awarded ‘Outstanding’ in all teaching placements, demonstrating my ability to engage, motivate, and support children to reach their full potential.

In my role as a nanny, I create a fun, stimulating, and structured environment. I encourage creativity, imaginative play, and outdoor activities, while also promoting positive behaviour through clear boundaries, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Supporting children’s social skills, confidence, and independence is at the heart of my approach.

I am also available for ad hoc childcare, overnight care, and babysitting, offering flexible and reliable support to suit families’ varying needs.

I am a proud mother of two boys, aged 11 and 8, which further enhances my practical understanding of family life and children’s needs. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and our dog, socialising with friends and family, gardening, and slightly obsessed with organising both my home and my nanny houses!!
