My Experience

I started working with children in 2008 after 2 years of hairdressing (very different I know!) I've had 7 years working in 2 day nurseries working within all the ages through the years. I'm very confident with all ages. Throughout this time I gained my NVQ 2 and 3 along with my first aid and many other training courses.
Out of work I also have a wide range of babysitting families.

Whilst traveling in Australia 7 years ago we stopped in Melbourne where we worked for 5 months. This is where I decided to try out nannying! I absolutely LOVED it! Working with a variety of wonderful families who I miss very much! It's amazing how much of a bond you can gain within 5 months. I had to leave my families to continue my travels. Goodbyes are the worst! Ages ranged from 3 months to 15 years.

I returned home from my traveling in 2014 in Sandhurst where we stayed for 5 years and became a nanny again to 3 families in that time. I absolutely loved it! Kids really do bring me so much joy. My families ranged from 3 months - 9 years.

One last trip back to travel again! Lead us to leaving the uk again in 2020 ( peak of the pandemic! But just in time to make it over to New Zealand and oz before their borders closed! Sydney is where I found 2 wonderful families to nanny for with a mix of ages between 1-6 years. Each having 3 kids each So I’m used to chaos! ? The more kids.. the more fun, love and adventure in my eyes!

A very exciting pregnancy announcement to fly home with! Bringing me home to have my first little girl! Whilst pregnant I decided to pick up some as hoc work just to fill a few months before being too pregnant!

This is where I found another incredible family! 3 kids! 5,3 and 1! I fell in love instantly with their gorgeous personalities and mum & dad just being the most wonderful people! I felt like part of the family so fast!

I took 4 months off to have Millie and then had conversations with mum to go back and work 2 days a week with her bringing my baby along with me!

4 kids all under the age of 5!? I’m mad right!? But it was honestly the best decision I made! My daughter was so so incredibly loved by them all and created such special bonds.

I continued to do this role right up until
I had baby number 2!.. that’s right we’re up to 4 kids and a pregnancy thrown in now! ?

& now here I am on mat leave. The kids have all grown up and gone to school. So don’t need the hours anymore and i very much have my hands full with my 2 girls!

However my oldest has just started pre school so ideally im just looking for some babysitting or ad hoc work that I can do to help out here and there with a family. If I can bring baby rosie along that’s fab! She’s a really good little baby! But also flexible to leave her with some family members depending on the role.

Full driving licence

• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (net)
