About Me
Hi. I am an Ofsted registered childminder, based in the Chippenham area who has recently qualified after leaving the armed forces after 24 years, It has always been my dream to become a childminder and I am now able to I care for babies and young children aged between 6 months and 8 years, which includes before and afterschool care for children attending Queens crescent school in Chippenham.
My home is within walking distance to local play parks and a conservation woodland, which provides a place for the children to play, explore and be active. Outside play is extremely important providing children with fresh air and exercise, we utilise outdoor play as part of our day to day activities, and visit parks in and a round the local area such as John Coles park, we also attend local church play groups where children can make friends and gain confidence within a friendly environment, my home has a gated back garden with a grassed safe area, where there is a play house, outdoor toys and space to free play, I provide a safe and nurturing home from home childcare setting in a happy and caring family environment, where children will be supported and cared for as they develop and grow, I have 2 children aged one is 18 and the other is almost 9 years old, and I have been happily married for 20 years.
My Experience
I am new to childminding and have been in the role now for just under a year, having qualified through Wiltshire council, looking after children has always been close to my heart and is why I had my own children, of which I have 2 children one is in primary school and the other is training to become a carpenter as an apprentice, I come from a very large family and have been involved in caring for their children on many occasions, that mixed with bringing up my own children is where I have gained a lot of experience over the years.
My Qualifications
Childminder qualified (through Wiltshire council), Paediatric first aid, First aid at work level 3, introduction to and a level 2 in safeguarding and protect, FGM recognition and prevent, NCFE CACHE Level 2 Understanding mental health early years and understanding autism, Enhanced DBS checked and registered and insured through PACEY.
My Availability
My hours are Monday to Thursday 07.30 - 17.30 and Friday 07.30 - 16.30, I also provide before and after school care for children who attend Queens crescent school in Chippenham.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50 per hour is my rate, this dose not include and food, snacks, nappies, wipes or outings if undertaken undertaken.
