About Me
Hi, my name is Sarah.
I have two Children ages 5 & 3. We live with my partner of 17 years and our family dog called Bingo.
I believe children to thrive in a smaller environment, I will be creating independence following aspects from Maria Montessori. I will always follow and take into account children's interests when setting up activities and rotate toys weekly. I am looking forward to watching children develop and grown within 'Sarah's House.
It is exciting to open our family home to share with others. We will have flexibility allowing children to get out and learn in their natural environment garden, forest, beach, library etc.
I will be dropping off and collecting from Stebbing Primary School September 2022. Please contact me if you need childcare or if you have any questions.
My Experience
Qualifications, I have a foundation degree in Early Years Playwork and Education (childcare level 5) First aid and Safeguarding Children, Food Hygiene, along with a range if other courses.
In total I have been in childcare for 14 years, however over the past 8 years I have worked in a large childminder setting as Deputy and also Deputy in a large chain nursery - Busy Bees.
Over the past 14 years I have had many experiences which has made me into the person I am today. I have gained international experience in, Sri Lanka and America as well as providing respite for a child's family who has complexed needs. I have provided childcare for children of all ages from 0-12 years.
Becoming a deputy manager in two different childcare settings has given me the opportunity to really get to know the children and develop special bonds, train staff, communicate and work with each child's families as well as being in the room with the children meeting their daily needs. I have dealt with daily issues and held meeting with outside agencies e.g. Area Senco, Police, Social Care, Health visitor etc.
