About Me

I am a 29-year-old first-time mum, currently on maternity leave and living in Penrith. I am a qualified teacher and currently work in a role supporting children and young people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and emotional well-being.

I have worked with and cared for children in various capacities since leaving school and hold extensive experience across a range of settings, including trauma-informed practice.

As I prepare to return to work, I am exploring opportunities for nanny roles in the hope of reducing my current full-time hours while continuing to support children and families in a meaningful way. Hopefully alongside caring for my own daughter who is currently 5 months old.

My Experience

I have a wide range of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including as a private nanny in the home, in schools, nurseries, and providing wedding and event childcare. I also have experience supporting vulnerable children and families in my current role and raising my own 5 month old daughter.

In addition, I hold Qualified Teacher Status, a full paediatric first aid certificate, a clean driving licence, extensive safeguarding training, and a valid DBS check.

My Qualifications

I went to school in Penrith, Cumbria where I gained 13.5 GCSE's (A*-C) and 3 A-Levels grades A*CC.

I also have a 2:1 degree in Primary Education which I achieved in 2018.

I also teach baby massage classes and have a passion for the benefits of nurture and connection between parents and babies.

My Availability

I am looking for childcare jobs that would allow me to also care for my own 5 month old daughter. I am due back to work in May 2026 so I am looking for more flexibility for her and to reduce my own need for childcare whilst allowing her socialisation with other children.
