I Have cared for several families over the last 30 years as a childminder but closed my business in June 2023. I have experience with babies and twins from 4 weeks old to children upto the age of 21years.

Shona was absolutely fantastic looking after my little girls and my two nieces whilst us parents attended a family wedding. The childcare was from 11.30 to 21:00 , the children absolutely adored being with Shona. She kept us parents up to date with what they were up to, and kept them entertained. I would highly recommend Shona, and on our next trip to Scotland will always reach out to Shona to see if she has availability to watch my little girl. I can't thank Shona enough for making what was a worry (leaving my little one with someone else) into a truly lovely experience.

Shona looked after our 3 girls on 22nd December 2025 so we could attend a family wedding. To say Shona was excellent would be an understatement. Or children were taken to the beach, to McDonald's and generally kept them entertained all day which we felt was above & beyond, given it was a one off occasion. When we returned back to our air bnb, the children were all in bed fast asleep. Would highly recommend Shona to anyone. Thankyou Shona

Highly recommend Shona. We have no family living close and always struggle to get a night out but was always hesitant leaving my 3 kids under the age of 6 with someone we didn't know. Shona turned up to our house the first time with a bag of books and instantly interacted with my kids. I knew instantly i needn't worry as she was amazing with my kids and they loved her. Have used her a few times so my husband and I can get a break to go for dinner and get some time together and it's nice to go out knowing my kids are well looked after and safe. Shona was always communicating with us when we were out reassuring us that everything was OK. She is very professional and friendly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a childcare 😊

Shona looked after our little girl on our wedding day and I couldn’t recommend her more. She was so lovely, professional and just incredible with our 1 year old. We were so worried as she’s never been left with anyone outside the family and from the minute Shona arrived we were able to switch off and enjoy her day as Elodie was having such fun and comfortable. We don’t live locally but if we did I’d be trying to get Shona as my full time nanny!!! X

Thank you so much for the kind words. It was such a pleasure to look after your little girl on your wedding day, she was so contented and certainly enjoys her food. We loved to make noise banging on the milk tin with spoons which brought laughter to her.

Shona has been very good with our 9 month old. She was comfortable to do the whole of the evening routine from playtime, to dinner, to bath time and then sleep.
Shona had taken the time to meet our baby and us prior to her initial visit. This helped our baby to get to know her better for the actual babysitting evening. She was engaging, playful, patient, very happy and confident in looking after our baby. She also kept us informed throughout the evening which certainly reassured us.
We are planning to have her back on a regular basis (if she’ll have us!) thank you Shona :)

Shona looked after my 18month old boy for days in June while I was working. She was great with him and he really enjoyed his days with her. She kept me up to date throughout the day with photos and how he was doing and she really treated him so wonderfully. I felt completely safe and trusted her straight away and you can tell she just loves the children she watches. Definitely recommend her.

My baby girl loved spending time with Shona and I felt very confident leaving her for the work hours I needed covered. Shona was incredibly professional and went above and beyond to make the situation work very smoothly and comfortably for me and my daughter. Will definitely want to use Shona again.

Shona was very caring and lovely with our 2 children, a 4 year old and 1year old. This was the first time they spent the evening with a babysitter, so quite a novelty for them. But Shona felt like family and both of them loved her immediately. She was with us for a short period (5pm to midnight), but they enjoyed it so much that our 4 year told us all about in the morning 😊
Communication was great and very flexible to our schedule and needs!
We would highly reccommend Shona!

I booked Shona for the a recent 7pm to 9am overnight sitting for my 16 year old.
I was looking for a service where they could begin to practice their independence (i.e. cooking a simple meal) whilst under the watchful eye of someone.
Shona arrived precisely on time and spent the evening playing card and board games with my teen. My teen enjoyed the experience of having a nice, friendly and caring person around.
We paid £300 for 14 hours of attendance (this also included £20 travel costs)
Shona is a lovely lady and I'd thoroughly recommend her.
