About Me

Hello, my name is Ceri, I'm from North Wales currently living in Clapham, South West London.
I am currently working part-time for a family in Chelsea. I am looking for a full time role, starting by end of May.

I am a very friendly, professional, sociable person and have a fun personality; I feel like I’m easy to get along with and try to help out wherever I possibly can.

I am a very experienced Newborn Care Specialist. I am competent in working with multiple children, sole-charge and have extensive childcare experience ranging from new-born to teenagers, including new-born twins. I am confident in weaning babies onto solids and can prepare great-tasting child-friendly meals; taking into account all dietary requests and requirements.

For me, it just feels natural to work with children and I enjoy their company immensely. I find nothing more rewarding than taking care of them and I want to help them grow in the best way possible. I strongly believe that when working with children, you have to have a patient and flexible nature. I love to interact with them on any level, and I always support and adapt to each child’s individual needs.

I take the initiative in creating child-friendly activities and I consider myself to be a very creative person and love imagining new ways to interact, stimulate and educate them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment, one in which they feel protected and can thrive.

I also love taking children on playdates and on fun outings to soft-play areas, parks, the local library, gardens, zoos, farms and museums etc, so the children can see their community and get a hands-on experience, a great alternative to just reading about it in books.

From every experience I've had working with children; I feel that I am a very patient person. I’m also a very outgoing, bubbly, friendly person who constantly has a smile on her face. I am punctual, sensible, reliable and responsible. I feel like I'm fun to be around and a very trustworthy person.

My experience includes cooking, infant weaning, potty training, infant and toddler sleep routines, swimming teaching, running family PA errands and educating and entertaining children.

If these are the qualities you are looking for in a nanny, I would love to hear from you. Warm regards.

My Experience

I've been babysitting and caring for children since I was 16. For a while, I lived in North Carolina where I was an Au Pair for new-born twins and LA where I was a Live-In travel nanny for a HNW family.
I have experience as a live-out nanny in Chelsea, Belfast and Chester and have multiple past families where I have been an ad-hoc nanny, proxy parent and part-time nanny. I have also lived in SW London where I was a live-in nanny for two wonderful boys.

A professional, well-mannered, responsible, and devoted Nanny/Maternity Nurse, with a great deal of experience and interest in children and their development. I have 15+ years of experience caring for children and working professionally with families, including high-net-worth families and staffed households. A confident child carer who is emotionally mature and possesses high energy levels and an ability to develop close relationships with both children and families.

I take initiative in creating child-friendly activities and adhere to a kind and compassionate approach when dealing with discipline issues. I possess excellent communication skills and can relate well with people at all levels and converse politely and courteously. I am able to work to an excellent standard under pressure whilst presenting a positive image to others, and am competent in working with multiple children and maintaining an organised schedule with little parental guidance.

I'm very keen to find a long-term childcare position with a responsible employer where I will be able to continue to increase my work experience and develop my abilities.

My Qualifications

I have a Diploma of Higher Education in Primary Education.
I am an OCN Level 4 qualified Maternity Nurse.
I hold a level 1 qualified swimming teacher certificate and I am Paediatric Children and Babies first aid trained.
I also hold a certificate for Anaphylaxis Awareness Training.

I am currently training to be OCN Level 4 qualified in Gentle Sleep Education and Infant Allergies, Colic and Reflux.
