We are looking for a bubbly, outgoing and enthusiastic person to join our small team of family support workers.
The job is for Monday to Friday working from 3pm-8pm with our 17 year old daughter who is profoundly disabled. This will involve working alongside other family support workers as part of the team. You will need to plan activities for her that are fun, engaging and stimulating.
Our amazing daughter has cerebral palsy, but despite her additional needs she is an extraordinarily happy and contented child. She loves messy, creative and sensory play, and is very responsive to sensory experiences and stimulation.
She also loves listening to music, watching films, playing games, being outside, listening to stories (she loves gossip!!) and thrives on one to one support and attention.
Our daughter is wheelchair dependent and her bedroom and bathroom are fully adapted to her needs. She has a therapy room and quiet space at home, which allow her to have some space and peace when she needs it.
Our daughter has a Tracheostomy and a GJeg peg but training is provided.
COVID statement. PPE is provided and stringent hygiene is expected.
My Requirements
We are looking for exceptional, caring, and competent people to join our small team of family support workers, to care for our 17 year old daughter. This role will involve working alongside other family support workers as part of a team.
Experience or knowledge of working with children with additional health care needs and disabilities is desirable, however, full training will be provided.
Qualifications in childcare, teaching or nursing are desirable but not essential.
Extremely favourable and competitive rates of pay.
