About Me
I am a primary trained practitioner and teach Key Stage 1 currently teaching a Year 2 class. I have been tutoring privately over the course of my ten year teaching career.
When I'm not teaching I'm busy studying for a Master's degree in Education.
I'm a friendly, approachable and innovative teacher who always instils confidence and aspires for the very best for my students. With a 'can-do' individual approach for your child they will achieve success with their learning!
My Experience
Having gained a BMus (Hons) in Music I went on to achieve a PGCE with QTS status in Primary Education (Upper Primary Specialism). My teaching experience of ten years has included working in Pre-prep, Prep and State maintained settings. I have experience of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in this sector.
With an Associate Diploma from Trinity Guildhall I am able to prepare students for Speech and Drama qualifications to the higher performance certificates and Medals levels. I also hold the P. Cert LAM from LAMDA so can offer elocution as well as speech and drama lessons. Having studied music at degree level, I am able to prepare students for Theory of Music examinations notably the Grade 5 ABRSM Certificate.
In my previous school as KS1 Leader and at my current school, as a senior leader, I am responsible for leading Literacy across the school so can prepare children for undertaking the Common Entrance examinations (11+) which I have had experience of.
Finally I have worked with children with special needs, notably Asperger's and cerebral palsy and have been able to support them with their Maths learning using numicon which supports the new National Curriculum.

My Fees
Primary Tutoring from EYFS-KS1-KS2 - £30.00 an hour/ £15.00 half an hour
Common Entrance (11+) preparation - £40.00 an hour
Speech and Drama Lessons - £30.00 an hour/ £15.00 half an hour
Group Drama Lessons - £8 per person per hour (maximum of 6 per group) - mixed age groups offered from 4-18 years.
Theory Lessons - £25.00 an hour/ £12.50 half an hour (Music Theory in Practice workbook by Eric Taylor to be purchased for approximately £6).
