I am a mother of 2 boys 16 & 14. We have a Dachshund called Hazel who is a real asset to our family .
I am a warm bubbly person who has a natural love for children, I am calm, patient and relaxed, and will always ensure they receive the love and nurture they need.

My Experience
I believe there is no better experience than being a mother.
I have cared for children of all ages from new born to 11 years as a childminder.
I decided to end my role as a childminder as my own boys are now older , however I have found I miss the children . I love watching them grow and develop and enjoy being apart of their journey.
I was a childminder for 12 years, I have also worked in a a school environment supporting children with SEN. My own son has ASD and ADHD, so I have lots of hands on experience for those children with super powers.
I have chosen to Nanny as I feel it’s important for children to be in their own home especially if they are little. Children with SEN need to be around their things as it makes them feel safe and secure esp if they haven’t had a good day . Nothing quite like getting home and I understand that .
We enjoy spending lots of time outdoors exploring , going to parks, farms, messy play, attending music sessions and soft play. There is always and adventure to be had. Variety is key.
All of the family’s I care for become my work family . I have always had a close working relationship with my families as I feel this is very important.
I am a person who genuinely cares, this is more than a job for me . I am apart of your journey and your child’s journey and that’s an important role.

We were in a very tough place with regards childcare for my two children but Sophie came to the rescue! Her approach is always "how can I help?" and "we will work it out together!". Which is fantastic when you're already a tired stressed parent like myself.
Sophie is reliable, relaxed and very clearly experienced. She is organised and communicates clearly.
My two children always come home talking about what they did that day, particularly all the big chats they have together (my two are big talkers!!). Sophie is kind and compassionate, and her two children are just as lovely. Very pleased to have found Sophie and would highly recommend her for your childcare needs.

Sophie started looking after my children 6 years ago my son has since left and is in big school now,but still always asks about Sophie, but my daughter is still with Sophie,
SOPHIE is a loving and caring person, my daughter is very fussy about food and Sophie always caters for her even gets her to eat meals which I'm so happy about, Sophie cooks alot of different ranges of food, when you walk into her home it is a nice big and clean house during the summer Sophie will have activities for the children to do in the garden or will take them park. I am so grateful to have found Sophie, will be sad when my daughter leaves her next year, but I know my children will never forget her.

Sophie has looked after our little girl since she was two months old back in the summer of 2020, and can honestly say the last year and half has been an amazing experience. If only we could bring Sophie with us when we move abroad in a few months time!
Sophie is clearly very experienced with children, and was an instant hit (and seeing our daughter run to Sophie every morning for hugs speaks for itself). Not only is she loving, inspiring and nurturing, but also a font of knowledge for us parental newbies. Working with the ever-changing routine was a breeze for Sophie, and as we both work from home, have been thankful that Sophie can take care of her in own home each day. Sophie also would take care of other children slightly older - who were all super nice and full of social interaction. The set up she has at home is quite a sight - and clearly a fun space.
They often go for adventures in the local parks, children's farms, day trips, play groups, and to soft play - and receiving photos of her out and about and playing is a highlight of our day. Among other things, Sophie helps to get her ready in the mornings, breakfast, lunch, napping, snacks. Throughout this whole time, Sophie has always been on time and is super reliable.
We feel completely confident that Sophie would be a great addition to any family - and would be more than happy to provide additional references over phone/email if helpful.

Sophie has had all three of my children age ranges from 2 ,3 and 10.
I have been extremely happy with the care my children have received, and the great progress they made have whilst in Sophie care.
Sophies home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and My children have great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Sophie is warm and friendly.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise.
I know that my girls has recently enjoyed sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park.
Sophie is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining my children’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home.
I am also aware that Sophie ensures good personal hygiene in encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet.
I would absolutely recommend Sophie as a great and reliable childminder.
