Little Deers Nutley Preschool Playgroup

Nutley Preschool Playgroup offers 2-5 year olds a unique preschool experience. We have an unrivalled large indoor space and a large, private and well equipped garden. We accept funding.

Our preschool is in the heart of the Ashdown Forest and all children get to explore and learn within the forest itself on a frequent basis.

Our location is easy to access on the A22 in Nutley, with a large car park, secure access to the building and a dedicated team of staff you and your child will enjoy every aspect of your time with Nutley Preschool.

All our Little Deers leave Nutley Preschool ready for Reception Class, we have a Rising Fives programme for those who are moving onto School the following year, this programme works closely with Nutley Primary School.

We are open Monday to Friday, with Holiday Clubs operating outside of term time based on demand.

Children thrive at this welcoming preschool where staff show genuine interest and care. Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the progress their children make and their readiness for school. Staff create a calm, friendly environment where children develop independence, confidence and positive attitudes to learning. They play well together, sharing and taking turns. To improve further, the setting should target staff professional development more precisely to enhance teaching quality and create new challenges for children. Additionally, opportunities for children to explore and appreciate diversity and different cultures within the local community could be extended.

A great & super outdoorsy preschool

We really love Little Deers Nutley Preschool. The staff are so amazing and lovely with the kids. One of our favourite things is how often they take the children out into the local forest and in and amongst the community. Our daughter comes home so excited and even teaches us the new walking routes she learned! It’s just a really wonderful place that makes the kids feel like a true part of the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
