About Me
I am a mother to a beautiful baby girl, I am reliable, fun, kind and have a passion for working with children. I have worked in a nursery setting (and nannying) for 8 years, I have worked with children from 4months - 4years and helped out with after school clubs for children up to 11/12 years of age, Previous to this job, i also have nannying experience, most recently for a family with a 3 year old and 6/7 year old, which entailed school run, groups and activities in the day/summer holidays, meal times, Bathtime and homework. I nannied for a 2 year old for a few hours a day where I gave lunch and planned fun activities and baby sat in the evenings which I very much enjoyed, I have also looked after a little girl and boy aged between 2 and 5 which I now just do baby sitting for on the odd occasion (now 10 and 13) , I enjoy being outside and love animals, I feel I interact well with children and enjoy their company, I'm very sporty and active and enjoy going to the gym and socialising with friends.
My Experience
A little about my experience in child care- I'm a responsible 26 year old who loves working with children. I have done some nannying for a couple of families over the last 6ish years between other jobs and I currently nanny for a family 2 days a week children ages 3 and 6/7, I have worked in a nursery setting for 7/8 years and worked with babies/ children aged between 4 months - 4 years and after school club with children up to the ages of 11/12, I absolutely love my job working with children, I also have to observe the children and have full use of the EYFS and making learning stories of the children's progress and journey, have to have excellent parent partenership, meal times with the children, putting them to sleep, changing nappies, dealing with first aid, and making sure the children are in a safe and happy environment. I have 3 siblings that I have grow up with and have looked after my nephew from newborn, I work well with children and my mum previously owned a day nursery so I always used to help out there with babies and toddlers, however she is now a registered nanny and so is my sister. I've passed my young community leaders award, which required taking a group young children around several sporting activities safety, giving them a chance to learn new sports and have fun, I'm also first aid trained. I previously worked as a swim teacher, which ranged between children aged 3-10 and looked after a little girl of 22 months once or twice a week while the parents were working. I would love to help out with nannying/baby sitting, or working along side a mother to help out with a young baby, overall I have alot of experience with children of different ages.
