About Me
Hello, thank you for looking at my profile. My name is Christine Owens. I am 51 years old. I live with my husband and our 4 year old son. We have 2 older daughters who have moved out. I have been happily childminding for 23 years and am registered with the CIW. I live in the Parc Gwernfadog area offering home from home childcare in a welcoming, fun, caring and safe playful environment. I am registered to provide Flying Start sessions.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 23 years and have had children in my care from newborn.
I provide childcare in a warm and welcoming home with plenty of room with a range of toys, games, puzzles and everything needed for a childs development. I provide lots of activities such as arts & craft, music time, story time, role play on a daily basis. I take the children on regular trips to the library, beach, a variety of local parks,our favourites being Margam Park & Gnoll Park. I have a lovely large out door play area for all ages. I provide a daily diary to keep parents updated on daily activities. I aim to provide a very warm, caring, full of fun atmosphere in a home from home environment and encourage good communication with parents at all times.

Christine is a brilliant childminder I was worried at first to put my son in childcare but went to finish her setting and I feel well settled. My son has now been coming 2 years in October and he is so happy and settled here
I couldn't thank Christine enough she keeps in contact via WhatsApp if anything is wrong or even to the point she sends photos on a daily basis of what they had done that day.
I highly recommend this childminder for anyone in doubt dont be in doubt she is a fantastic childminder and I cant praise her enough for my little boy he has come a long way since visiting Christine I am very grateful

My 3 year old son has been with Christine since he was 8 months old and I couldn't have chosen anyone better to care for him.
I found that Christine has become a part of our family over the years, and I can't wait for my youngest to start with her next year.
Christine has so much love for my son which I adore about her. She makes sure that he has the best quality of time with her by doing lots of activities, reading and going out for trips to the park or local beaches.
His development has exceeded our expectations and I believe that was largely down to being in a homely environment with Christine and a smaller group of children who have taught him to be the best version of himself.

I can't recommend Christine enough, when looking for a childcare setting for my little boy I wasn't sure what we wanted, we visited numerous places and nothing made me feel comfortable. The minute we worked into Christine's home we felt at ease.
My little boy thoroughly enjoyed his time at Christine's and was made to feel like part of their family. Christine, Her husband and children treated Isaac like he was one of their own.
I rave about Christine to anyone looking for a childminder, and when I speak about everything she did and does people are astonished. In my opinion she really is the best.
Isaac had so many fantastic days out, memories, milestones, and came home with the loveliest art for us regularly. Christine always toke great interest in Isaacs development and skills, making sure to tailor her activities around Isaac.
When my boy went fulltime we were all very sad to see him leave Christine's care, but she still continues to check in and I think this shows the level of care and compassion she shows all the children and without a doubt if I had another I wouldnt hesitate to call Christine again. What gives Christine that extra special touch is she isn't just a childminder but a friend too, and that's exactly what we didn't know we needed.
