About Me

* I have avaliability on Friday's, Saturdays and Sunday's. I can babysit on evenings after 7pm Mon_Thur

Hello my name is Emily, and I’m looking for adhoc babysits. I'm looking for work on Fridays, Saturdays or Sunday's based in and around Reading.

My main source of satisfaction stems from knowing what concepts stimulate the children I care for. I'm a fun, loyal and outgoing individual, that enjoys using my creative endeavors to work alongside young people. I'm a strong believer of firm but fair behavioural management, and with the wishes of the parents taken into consideration I believe strong and trustworthy relationships can be built.

I am a keen sportswoman, enjoying the team ethos of hockey and being receptive to others, whilst thriving in the individuality of gymnastics. Routines require individuality, quick thinking and an adherence to guidelines; all skills transferrable to nanny/babysitter worker. I also enjoy being innovative with arts and crafts, offering innovative and dynamic activity plans. I gathered an intimate understanding of the professionalism and dedication that is vital for being responsible for others, through both my parents being teachers.

My intrigue over different cultures and lifestyles was something which has been engrained in me from early on. I lived in Australia and was exposed to the many nationalities and cultures that inhibit their shores and have since travelled through Asia; becoming acclimatised to different cultural customs. I would like the opportunity to build upon my experiences and develop as an innovative practitioner, to give the children and young people I work with every chance to succeed in accessing a range of fun filled activities, which promotes their independence whilst building on their life skills.

A BA Hons graduate in Interior Architecture and Design, achieving a 2:2 grade. Since completion of studies in June 2011 is keen to take on a challenging role to build upon my current skills, in order to support my training towards becoming a primary school teacher in the future.
