About Me
Hi there, my name is Michelle Taylor I'm 48 years old and I’m a registered ofsted childminder. i have 3 girls and currently have 2 still at home their ages are 20 and 17 years old. My eldest is currently living her best life away at uni. We are a smoke free family, and have 2 small pooches.....called Bo and belle they are small bischon frise and love children and meeting new people..... My hobbies include yoga...baking, reading and socialising. I’m a vegan (proud not preachy ) and love to try new foods and eat out as often as I can. I’m also a sucker for the theatre and love going to the westend with my friends.
My Experience
I absolutely adore my job and I've been childminding now for 15 years....i update my paediatric first aid certificate every 3yrs...along with safeguarding every 2 and I do online courses with ‘pacey’ to keep myself in the loop and refreshed with knowledge. I work from 7.30am until 5.30pm. I have had a lot of experience with young babies and over the past 6 years I've cared for the babies until they were ready to naturally leave for daytime nursery. I deliver eyfs to a high standard, and I also offer 15/30 government hours if needed and payment by government tax free vouchers is also accepted. My home is a happy environment for both my own children and childminding children. I offer both indoor and out door activities such as dressing up, reading, drawing, jig saw puzzles, baking, play doh Lego and quiet time to list but a few. I love to take the children out and about as much as possible to parks, museums libraries and swimming. I’d like the children to consider my home their 2nd and have made many friends with parents from caring for their children, long after they grew out of me.
My Qualifications
As of Sept 2022. I have both my first aid certificate and my safe guarding certificate renewed and in place....I also keep my self involved with various childminding hubs and have regular contact with my childminding colleagues....In order to keep my policy and procedures fresh and updated.
My first 2 ofsted inspections were ‘Met’ as i wasn’t looking after any children at the time of inspections, My role on both occasions was school runs only, therfore only ‘Met’ could be given. My latest and most recent inspection I sadly received required improvement, a little harsh due to the extreme testing and stressful circumstances of the day. The issues raised have all been rectified and I welcome my new inspection.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I work on a £35 per day basis.... I ask that all full time children bring a pack lunch or lunch that can be heated up...although drinks and snacks are available throughout the day free of charge. Also any excursions are paid for by myself. For before and after school children I provide a variety of breakfasts and fresh fruits and for the after school children sandwiches or snacks are always available.
