I'm 25, I have been the family and friend babysitter since the age of 13 grew up surrounded by many children looked after them, I have been a brownie leader which is girls aged 7-10 which is providing activities and safeguarding them and also do rainbows which is girls aged 5-7, so experience with most ages also, completed my work experience at college in nurseries.
I currently work full time as a deputy manager of a nursery I have done for the past 3 months. Before this I was third in charge and a baby room leader of a baby room for 3 years but all in all I have worked in nurseries for the past 6 years which has gained me my level 3 childcare qualification.
As a young adult I am fully aware of my intentions to work with young children I have ensured that the experiences I have encountered to date are ones that will help work towards me achieving my goals. I have completed my level 3 BTEC Diploma in Health and Social care which Has gained me a job in childcare. And have completed my level 3 qualification in childcare whilst working nurseries.
I currently work in a nursery for 0-5 year olds as the deputy manager and have done for the past 3 months, however have been in nursery settings for the past 6 years, so I have experience with most ages nappy changing in correct ways bottle feeding, educational learning, healthy eating etc... I am currently based in the main 2-5 year olds room running the room alongside supporting the manager and running the nursery when she is not present. Previously I was a room leader in the baby room (0-2 years) for 3 years. So I have to make bottles and feed and settle children for sleeps etc and keep them entertained. However I was originally before this I based in the 2-3 year old room which was the most challenging room as they are always on the go getting up to mischief and always need to be watched.
I have also been a brownie leader. This role allowed me the opportunity to manage and arrange various activities such as group games, explorations and team building. I was responsible for leading a team of girls aged 7-10 years old and am their first port of contact for any queries or questions that they may have. I have completed my adult leader qualification which enables me to have an even more responsible role with the young people.
I was also a Rainbow leader. This role came about after being an Assistant Brownie leader for a few years I was asked to open up and take on the Rainbow group at our unit, this enabled me to take on responsibility of the girls aged 5-7 years old and set up activities and entertain the girls while also developing their intellectual needs. This has built up my confidence and knowledge of the needs of children that age.
Level 3 extended diploma health and social care with a distinction distinction merit.
Level 3 Diploma for the Early years practitioner (Level 3 childcare qualification)
Health and social care GCSE CC
Child protection level 3
Paediatric first aid and Epi pen training
Adult leader qualification for rainbows and brownies
I have also recently completed a 6 week beginner british sign language course so know the basics of BSL

I was really nervous about leaving my kids but Sophia kept me updated the whole time! My son loved her and we will definitely hire her again! Thank you Sophia xx
We needed a babysitter for our wedding, our 2 year old is normally very shy around new people so we booked her a few times before hand. The positive reviews could not have been more accurate, Sophia was absolutely amazing with him and we would highly recommend.
So many people commented on how brilliant she was and how relaxed our son was with her.
We were nervous about using a babysitter as we had only ever had a family member sit for our children, but Sophia has been amazing! Our children, aged 9, 5 & 2 have all loved seeing her and settled really well when she has been here. It means everything to us that the children are happy and it means we can enjoy a guilt-free evening out knowing that they are in good hands!
Sophia helped me at the last minute. I had to go to the hospital over night and phoned her last minute , she was more than happy to help to look after my girls aged 6 and 1. Thank you very much Sophia . Will definitely recommend her and will use her again.
I have a 2 year old daughter and 11 year old son - Sophie is now our go to babysitter.
You can instantly tell how much experience she has with children and she works really hard to form a bond and make your child feel comfortable.
Sophie is extremely trust worthy and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.
She always goes above and beyond to help and she is a very polite young lady.
