Hello
My name is Gina I'm a registered childminder based in Heath offering a home from home setting Jellytots Daycare, within walking distance of the UHW and Ton Yr Ywen school. I live with my husband Matt and my beautiful 7 year old son Will.
As a mother I understand the importance of great quality childcare to ensure that your children are happy, contented and thrive in a safe stimulating environment and will work in partnership with you to provide the best level of care and attention supporting your child's development during the early years and beyond.
I am registered to look after 10 children under the age of 12, however my aim is to look no more than 3 fulltime children a day with further spaces for before/afterschool care
I offer a home from home childcare service where your child will become part of our family
Children can take part in activities such as arts and crafts, free play and imaginary play with a range of loose parts, authentic resources and much more.
This opens directly into a large secure garden with a selection of outdoor toys.
I am a big advocate of outside play so will try to incorporate an outside activity every day weather permitting. Inside the setting I like to develop the children through activities such as arts and crafts, messy/loose play, sensory tables to name a few and I am currently working through 'The Curiosity Approach' accreditation, meaning Jellytots Daycare will become an official Curiosity Approach setting in the future
We are a dog loving family and have a springer spaniel called Scooby.
My Experience
Prior to becoming a childminder, my son was cared for within a home from home setting. This has also provided me with the experience of building relationships with a carer and I will use this experience to build trusting relationships with the parents of children in my care which will enable me to offer the best possible support for their child's individual needs and development.
I have been a childminder for 3.5 years experience and knowledge I have obtained during those years and caring for my son is the basis of the quality of the care I will provide and I will put the same amount of love, effort and support into the children I care for as my own child.

We have just moved away from Cardiff and probably the saddest part of our move was losing Gina as our childminder.
Gina has looked after our little girl for the last 3 years. Gina's care has been faultless and just outstanding, we couldn't have asked for more.
Gina, Matt, Will & Scooby (their lovely dog) welcomed us into their home and family and made us feel so at ease from day one. Our little girl always looked forward to her 'Gina days' and loved every minute of her time at Jellytots. As someone who wanted a home from home feel, lots of outdoor & creative activities, we got everything we wanted and more. We can't recommend Gina enough!

Gina has minded our little boy Marley for just over 18 months now and she is fantastic! My first child attended a nursery so this was a totally new experience for us and I must say I have found it so much better. Gina is very approachable, genuine and provides a real positive influence to Marley’s upbringing. She lives in a beautiful home with her husband and son Matt & Will and their lovely dog Scooby who are all always so friendly and welcoming. We don’t have a dog at home so we were glad that Marley would have that experience, he loves him and is so confident around dogs now which is great.
Marley always looks forward to his time at Gina’s and always comes home with a big smile on his face, Gina makes lots of effort to keep him busy and entertained with lots of fun activities and adventures out to the park, beach etc. He eats really well there and has lots of yummy home cooked meals. She captures lots of lovely photos and provides daily write ups of what he’s been up to each day so we are always in the know of what exciting things he’s been doing. Gina’s is certainly like home from home for my little one and we cannot recommend her enough!

We feel extremely lucky to have found Gina, for years our family looked after our children so I was little apprehensive but instantly she relaxed and reassured me, took her time to talk through everything and answer all my questions and now I wish we found her sooner!!
My boys absolutely love going to Gina's, it's always an actioned packed fun day! Arts, crafts, baking, water fun, days out, they love it and she is really playful with them and has the patience of a saint!
She is really relaxed, approachable and has always done her best to accommodate my little family which has been invaluable to me and my husband trying to juggle work life with childcare.
Gina has the most gorgeous little family herself! Matt her husband is super friendly and Will is the loveliest little boy, and not forgetting scooby- we dont have an experience of dogs and my 4 year old absolutely loves him! I feel so relaxed and happy the boys get to be apart of this family, it feels as if they are going to spend the day with a family friend rather than a childminder, seeing how happy they are reassured us no end!
I cant recommend Gina enough, seeing the bond she has with the boys I am truely gutted already at the prospect of them leaving ahead of full time school in September!
