Hi! I'm Haile, I'm 28 and from Canada. I love outdoor activities, yoga, cooking, and baking (usually from a box though…). I currently work full time at a dyslexia charity arranging assessments for children and adults.
My Experience
I have babysat occasionally since I was 12, I was a camp counsellor for 3 years with children ranging from 6-16, and I have been an au pair in Spain to a 3 and 6 year old. I also volunteered as a children’s lacrosse coach and a teacher’s assistant when I was in high school. I haven’t babysat in a few years but have looked after a friend’s children and my 2 year old niece. I’m interested in fostering in the next few years so would love to gain some more recent experience caring for children!
My Qualifications
I no longer have active first aid qualifications but in the past I have taken many lifeguarding and first aid courses including Canadian Red Cross Emergency and Standard First Aid with CPR-C, AED Responder, NLS Lifeguarding, and Wilderness First Aid so I would not be completely clueless in case of emergency! I also have a basic DBS check.
My Availability
I’m available for occasional weekend and evening babysitting only (weekdays 6pm-11pm). May be able to do last min emergency babysitting.
