About Me
I am married and have one son who has now left home (he is a teacher) I used a childminder myself when my son was young so understand the concerns of parents having to leave their children with someone else and know how hard it is to do so. I llive in a bungalow with a fairly large garden which gets a lot of use (especially in the nicer weather) We do lots of messy play such as painting , cooking, sticking, planting( e.g. sunflowers and potatoes )and glooping. We go out and about to local parks, rhyme time at local libraries, childminding groups,Itchen Valley Country park and Marwell Zoo, I try to do activities and learning experiences to meet your child’s interests. I have some lovely references from parents whose children I used to look after and also from parents whose children I still care for . I use daily diaries, learning journals and am always happy to chat to parents at the end of each day about what your child has been doing.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 24 years. My Ofsted grade is Outstanding. I have worked with children aged from three months to fourteen years old. I have also worked with children with delayed speech and some with quite severe allergies.
My Qualifications
NVQ3 in Childcare and Education, Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education . First aid certificate.
Safeguarding certificate plus many short course certificates . I am constantly updating my training.
My Availability
From
I have one space for four days and one space for two days for a child under 5 and a space for a child over 8. I do school runs to Fair Oak infant and Junior schools.
