I am married with two adult children and a springer spaniel.
My Experience
I worked as a nursery nurse on Special care baby unit (SCBU) at the RSCH for 8 years - leaving in December 2016 to set up independently as a Postnatal Doula which I have been working as since.
I am experienced in teaching parents how to bath, hold baby correctly, establish and support feeding (breast or bottle),winding methods and calming techniques.
As a Doula I support the whole family from birth to generally 12 weeks but sometimes longer as needed. I can help with siblings, cooking, laundry, running errands, holding baby so mum can catch up on sleep or take some time out.
I have also worked as a nanny on & off for many years so am very experienced with children of all ages.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in health and social care
UNICEF breastfeeding and lactation management
Paeds and adult resus trained
Younique postnatal doula preparation course
