About Me
My name is Megan and I am 35years old.
I have currently been a nanny for the last 10 years . My first family i was with I worked there for 7 years, looking after 4 lovely children ages between 6 months to 7 years old, and only left due to them no longer needing a nanny.
I’m currently with a lovely family, but due to change of circumstances, I’m looking for something more suitable to me.
I worked in the care industry for 8 years previous to being a Nanny, Caring for people in various different situations – Elderly people with severe dementia, end of life care , adults with serious learning difficulties as well as children with learning difficulties, epilepsy and muscular dystrophy. As you can imagine these have been very challenging roles, all of which I have succeeded in.
Working within the care industry for such a long period of time has meant that I have done very in depth courses covering various different areas, emergencies and first aid training, choking, paediatric first aid, epilepsy, food and nutrition, medication handling, health and safety, infection control, fire safety, moving and handling of people, abuse and neglect, communication, protection of vulnerable adults and children as well as numerous other training courses of which I can provide certificates for.
Currently my dbs and paediatric first aid have expired , however if required I can do and provide them.
My Experience
I come from a very large family with 10 nieces and nephews and my mum was a child minder when I was a young, so for most of my life been surrounded by babies and children.
