About Me
My name is Sarah Middlemass and I am an Ofsted registered childminder, with a 'good' grade at my last inspection. I was born in London and moved to Nottingham 20 years ago. I live with my husband and two daughters, who are aged 20 and 15 years.
My husband and I are both non smokers and operate a strict no smacking policy.
I am qualified to a level 3, in childcare, learning and development. I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate.
I am registered with PACEY, who I have my Public Liability Insurance with. I use my own car for outings which is fully insured with a specific childminders cover.
I belong to the local childminding group.
My Experience
I have worked as a childminder now for 19 years, and have looked after children from 6 months to 11 years. I thoroughly enjoy my work and find it very rewarding.
I feel I can offer children a loving, warm, friendly and stimulating environment, where they can feel free to express themselves mentally, physically and comfortably.I aim to provide good quality care for each minded child, to respect their individual well-being, to encourage them to be happy, confident, independent, and to develop self-esteem.
My Qualifications
I am qualified to a level 3 NVQ in 'Childcare Learning and Development' . I have completed the 'Safeguarding Children' course, a 'Food Hygiene' course, and am registered with the Food Standards Agency. I have completed a First Aid course, which included the first aid training for infants and young children. As a requirement of Ofsted, my details have been checked (enhanced) by the Criminal Records Bureau.
I have also attended a' Fun With Phonics' course and a 'Playing with Language' course, done at my local school.
My Availability
My working hours are 7.30am until 5.30pm. These hours can be negotiated if necessary. At the moment I have part time vacancies for under 5's. I have availabilty for over 8's. Please contact me.
