I'm a fit and healthy 54 year-old widowed mum of two grown-up kids and twin girls of 21. I'm of Italian parentage so speak some Italian. I am cheerful, bit silly when required but very sensible, conscientious and responsible especially concerning children. I currently work as a very busy hands-on nanny housekeeper for a lovely family with 3 young children. I have been with them for 6 years.
I believe that the 'gentle, loving, kind but firm' approach is best for children whatever age they are but also think being child-led, especially when very young is very important. .I think good manners are very important too. I drive and have a clean licence. I am looking for a nanny/housekeeper or nanny position but am always willing to go the extra mile and do my best to be helpful and flexible to help my 'family' as much as possible. I also love pets! I'm happy to help with light housework , grocery top-ups, basic house maintenance,dry-cleaning pick up etc.I try to be pre-emptive regarding the household's needs so that my family don't have to worry about the small stuff.
I have recently become a grandma for the first time so have recent experience with a lovely newborn! I hope that although I don't have formal childcare qualifications, my life experience, maturity and very hands-on experience make up for that. My DBS is up to date and I am more than willing to obtain any First Aid certificates as needed. Please get in touch if you think I could be of any help to you and your family!
