About Me
I live in North London . I have worked with children in various roles for 25 years .
I believe my strengths in this role are :
Helping children progress and reach their developmental milestones in their learning ,through art, play, reading books , cooking, growing vegetables , crafts, and age appropriate outings. From my knowledge of the EYFS I base what I do with the children on their own personal interests , as I find children learn best from what interests them, building on this and extending their interest further.
With older children I link what they are learning about at school with outings, and activities at home. ( eg going to the library and getting books that link to the school curriculum ) When looking after babies and toddlers , I focus on building confidence, gross and fine motor skills, safety in the home and when out and about, socialisation with other children, and developing healthy eating habits.
I am a swimmer , but prefer not to take children swimming myself,
but am happy to take them to lessons with a qualified teacher .
My Experience
I have worked as a Nanny with age groups 0-16 years. I have worked as a sole charge Nanny , and in a share arrangement.
The age groups I have worked with range from Newborn to 16 years. I have also worked in a private school, for 4 years where I was the Senco worker, working with children with Special needs.
I Have also worked as an NVQ Assessor, and Trainer for students undertaking the NVQ level 2&3 qualification.
Experience as a nanny for twins aged 10 months at start of job, now 10 yrs.
Current role working with children aged 8, 6 years , and 3 years .
