About Me
Hi I’m Charlotte and I’ve recently registered as a childminder, operating as Nest Childminding based in Silver End.
I’m a mum of two (3,5) with experience working in nurseries and o it of school clubs and a 2:1 degree in early childhood studies.
At Nest, I want children to feel safe, secure and at home. Small ratios mean I can get to know each child, their personality, what makes them feel happy and secure. Lots of books, following children’s interests, our hens, local parks, soft play, little adventures at the zoo, the beach and other childminders homes.
All with the aim of supporting confidence, independence and self-belief. If you’d like your little one to explore their little world and then come back to their safe nest, feel free to message me ??
My Experience
Before gaining my Early Childhood Studies ( BAhons) in 2017, I volunteered in a school for a year. Completing placements during my course and baby sitting from age 18 solidified my dream to nurture children in their early years of learning life!
After graduating I worked in a nursery and out of school clubs for some time before personal obligations took my career away from working with children.
After having two babies of my own, I dipped my toe back into working in nurseries but something just didn’t sit right with me and I knew I needed to find a career that allowed me to give my children and other peoples what I prioritise the most - a safe, warm and nurturing space where children feel confident to be exactly as they are. A place where we can follow their own curiosities and pace whilst supporting them in their confidence and development.
My Qualifications
Level 6 early childhood studies.
4 A-levels
8 GCSE's all c and above.
Level 2 food hygiene
Full pediatric first aid
DSL level 3
Leadership and management level 5
Ofsted registered childminder.
My Availability
At the moment I have one early years term time only space from Monday to Wednesday. Do please get in touch with me if this suits you or to enquire for when space frees up elsewhere.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I accept all funding, with a request for a voluntary contribution toward non consumable extras.
£7 per hour outside of funding.
My Local Schools
