Hi! My name is Fiona. I am a qualified Primary School teacher currently working as a supply teacher.
My Experience
I have extensive experience working with children in a variety of settings. As the proud aunt of six nephews and three nieces, I have spent countless hours babysitting and caring for them, which has given me a strong foundation in nurturing and supporting children of different ages. Professionally, I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching children aged 4–11, as well as working in nursery settings, where I supported early years development. In addition, my time at Build-A-Bear Workshop allowed me to engage with children in a fun, creative environment, further strengthening my skills in communication, patience, and creating positive experiences for young people.
My Qualifications
I have a PGCE in primary education and I have qualified teacher status. I also took a 2 year Health and Social Care course whilst at college and got a distinction*. In this course i learnt about children and their needs and health. I also learnt about nutrition and first aid for children. I have taken many courses regarding the importance of safeguarding children and have a full DBS check.
My Availability
I am currently working as a supply primary school teacher/ nursery nurse and have open availability as I am not in a long term position as of right now. I am working towards finding a full time primary school teacher position but if I was working with you, I would give you plenty of notice regarding the change of my availability.
