About Me
I live with my husband Tommy and my son Ross. I have been a registered child minder since 1995. I enjoy reading, socialising and travelling. I hold a full clean driving license with business class insurance. We live in a 3 bed semi within the Carrickstone area and have a secure enclosed garden with out door equipment.
My Experience
I have been child minding since 1995 and still feel as passionate about my job as I did when I first started. I recently started a book worm session in my own home with other colleagues and their minded children as we felt there was not enough resources in our area, which has been a great success, we read stories, discussion and sing songs, all children enjoy this immensely. I previously held the position of chair person at my local playgroup and am a member of Scottish Child minding Association, and Cumbernauld child minding Association. I attend training regularly so I can keep up to date with all legislation, and feel that you need to refresh your knowledge to provide a professional service. I can provide recommendations from existing and previous parents if needed and also my care inspectorate / scswis report in which I gained grades of 5 & 6 this report is available to view online on the SCSWIS website I have looked after a variety of children throughout the years ages ranging from 6 months to 11 years. I cater for children from birth to 16 years and have a vast range of resources to cover all developmental needs. we participate on outdoor activities and outings regularly as all children love to explore their environment.
My Qualifications
SVQ3 child care and education, SVQ2 progression award, REHIS food hygiene, promoting positive behaviour, nutrition and oral health, health and safety, advanced child protection, dyslexia awareness, ADHD awareness, asthma awareness, first aid, lets get out training, meningitis awareness, infection control, healthy eating, Inclusion, NSPCC child protection, outdoor play. Child development programme, birth to three.
My Availability
My opening hours are Monday to Friday 7.30-5.30/6pm, before and after school, term time and holidays. I currently have a part time or full time vacancy available for a child above 1 years old. I can pick up from Cumbernauld p.s & St. Andrews

My Fees
I charge hourly, daily or weekly for fees depending on the hours needed from the parents, I feel this is fairer for the parent. Prices can be discussed at introduction time.
