About Me
My name is Sarah Stewart, and I live with my husband and our four children. With a background in school teaching and a genuine love for education, your little ones are truly in great hands.
I aim to make every child’s time with me both fun and educational, supporting their learning through play, exploration, and nurturing care.
I work alongside a co-minder and am supported by four registered assistants, allowing us to provide excellent care and attention to every child. We operate from our separate cabin in the garden and also have access to a spacious sensory room, creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and thrive.
My Experience
I have over 20 years’ experience working with children across a range of ages and educational settings. I began my career as a Teaching Assistant at Parkhill Primary School in Sheffield, where I worked for three years supporting children aged 10–11 years.
I then took a career break to spend time with my eldest son. When my second child was six months old, I returned to work in education, undertaking supply roles in various schools across Sheffield. During this time, I worked at Denaby Main Primary School, supporting children across all age groups from 3 to 11 years.
After five and a half years in this role, I decided to follow my passion for early years care and education and became a registered childminder, a role I have proudly held for 11 years. This experience has allowed me to combine my professional background with a nurturing, home-from-home approach to childcare.
My Qualifications
After leaving school, I completed my NVQ Level 2 in Childcare, followed by a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Care and Education. I later went on to achieve my Foundation Degree and am currently working towards a BA (Hons) in Working with Children and Families.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and continually building my knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of care, learning, and support for children and their families.
My Availability
We work 5 days a week 48 weeks per year 7am to 5.30pm

- Childminding from £7.00 per hour

Sara’s Busy Bees is the most amazing childcare setting I have ever had the pleasure of using. I always felt very confident dropping my son off, knowing he would be happy, safe, and well cared for. He was always welcomed with open arms, warm smiles, and a nurturing environment.
Not only are Sara and her team incredibly loving, patient, and kind, but they consistently go above and beyond. The children are often taken on exciting little field trips, and there are always fun, engaging, and interactive activities planned. No two days are ever the same, and that’s one of the many things that makes Sara’s Busy Bees so special.
I am so grateful to have found Sara and her wonderful team. They have played such an important role in helping shape my little boy into the amazing child he is today and have given him the very best start before beginning mainstream school.

After my twins spent time in 3 other nursery’s I found Sara…. And she is EXACTLY what my twins needed! They even ask to go to Sara’s during the school holidays….. it’s like they are going to family!
The twins have enjoyed daily visits out and about learning new things every day. Sara puts everything she has into the children in her care are clearly wants them to enjoy their time with her.
Communication about the children’s day is clear and detailed and we get photos and videos of them having an amazing time!
She has been super flexible with my constantly changing schedule.
Highly recommend!!

My daughter loved her time with Sara and her team. She is such a caring childminder with fantastic facilities and always took the kids out on lots of activities. I would highly recommend her. Sara is so professional she kept me updated towards her progress on EYFS targets all the way through and gave daily updates and lots of photos of what my little girl was getting up to during her day which made going back to work a lot easier as I knew she was being well cared for.
