About Me
Hello, my name is Jenny and I am committed to providing outstanding childcare to children. I am a mother myself to two wonderful boys, 7 years old and 10 years old. I have a lovely home for childminding with a large garden and parks nearby, as well as easy parking for families on my road. I enjoy creative activities, stories and gardening. If you choose me as your childminder, your child will spend lots of time exploring books, going on outings to local parks, as well as developing their skills to prepare them for their future. I enjoy working with children and watching them learn and grow as individuals.
My Experience
Before I started childminding I was a primary school teacher and have taught from Nursery all the way through to Year 6. I left teaching in September 2023, when I was the Nursery teacher, Early Years Lead and Assistant headteacher, as well as spending some time being the special educational needs coordinator. I have been teaching for 16 years and know the profession well. I chose to leave teaching to spend more time working with children, which is the part of my job I enjoy the most. I am pleased I did as my job is amazing and the children I care for make me smile and laugh every day. I have a lot of experience of the early years framework and will be able to support your children in being ready for school when they begin. If they are currently at school I am happy to support with homework, as I know the curriculum well and the expectations up to Year 6.

My Availability
Please contact me for availability. I currently have availability mainly from August 2026 due to children leaving to start school. I am open from 7.30 - 1730 Monday - Thursday.

We honestly couldn't have asked for a better childminder for our daughter over the last 2.5years. From day one, Jenny has provided such a warm, nurturing and safe environment where our daughter has really thrived. We have seen her confidence grow so much during her time with Jenny and it's clear how much care and attention goes into supporting each child as an individual.
Communication has always been excellent and we have had complete peace of mind knowing that our daughter is happy and well cared for. We will be sending our youngest to Jenny later this year which says everything about how much we trust and value her.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found Jenny and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, reliable and truly exceptional childminder.

We have now had our children with Jenny for 6 months, best decision we had made!
Jenny provides a home from home environment, learn through play, home cooked meal provided daily, outings whatever the weather.
Her organisational skills are beyond most people's capability!
Our children are always happy and excited to be visiting Jenny, we feel they are safe, well cared for and couldn't ask for more!

We stumbled across Jenny's profile when searching for childcare for our daughter as I returned to work. From the very beginning, Jenny has been the most caring, nurturing, patient childminder we could have asked for. She made us feel totally at ease leaving our daughter in her care. She provides regular updates through the day, is happy to be flexible to our needs and wishes and has always gone above and beyond to make our daughter feel safe and secure. Our daughter adores Jenny, her setting and the other children (particularly Jenny's own!) and always come home smiling and super chatty! We couldn't wish for a better experience for us all, and are so grateful to Jenny for the incredible care she has shown to our daughter.

Jenny has been looking after our little girl (now 2 1/2) for a long time now. She has so much patience and creates such a fun environment, our daughter absolutely loves going to see her!
With her teaching background, we have great confidence that Jenny provides the educational needs that our toddler requires in her care.
She is truly brilliant, we couldn’t ask for a better person to help our daughter develop and grow!
