I am an 'outstanding' rated Ofsted registered childminder. I am also a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY). My service was graded as 'outstanding' on my last two inspection report from Ofsted (July 2009 and November 2015). I do not simply comply with the statutory requirements- I provide an excellent service that meets parents needs whilst ensuring a safe, caring, loving and enjoyable learning environment for the children. I have a large home with a spacious garden and plenty of indoor and outdoor activities. I regularly visit local parks, toddler groups and libraries with the children. I cater for special needs such as special diets etc. Please contact me for more information or to arrange a visit.
I have been a registered childminder since 2005. Before that I looked after my own three children- all of them are now in full-time education.
I have passed Introducing Chilminding Practice in June 2005. Since then I have been committed to continuous professional development and as such attend regular training courses to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
I am available Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm (with some flexibility).

My 2 year son has been looked after by Sufia for over a year.
She has a lovely manner with all the children and is always calm, kind and patient. The children including my son are very well behaved and my son loves spending his day with her.
Sufia does more then just supervise the children she provides a fun, loving, home environment with a good understanding of their needs and abilities. She encourages good manners and helps my son learn and develop through doing and talking.
Her home cooked meals are fresh, healthy and tasty! My son loves her food and always asks for more.
Some people just have a way with children and Sufia is definitely one of them. I cannot recommend her enough.
Firstly I have to say that Sufias Childcare has been absolutely fantastic with helping me as a first time mum.
I initially decided that my son should attend a nursey setting, however he was feeling very unsettled and was not eating all day when he was there. As expected I was incredibly heart broken. However, my husband and I then decided to try a childminder. We went to see Sufia and her family who were incredibly welcoming and showed us exactly what the children do on a day to day. There is a lovely garden full of toys and activities which I was fond of as my son loves to be outside, and Sufia also grows her own vegetables. Most of her cuisine that she caters for the children incorporates organic home grow vegetables from her garden! The menu is varied and amazing! My son is a very picky and a fussy eater. Sufia has been persistent with his feeding which has helped me a lot at home when im with him.
My son has a routine with nap times and feeding and I was amazed how he settled very quickly into the routine Sufia had put in place for him.
I am impressed every week when he comes home with new things he learns and although he cannot talk he has shown great progress and very enthusiastic in showing me what he has learned at the childminders.
At the end of each day, we get detailed feedback with what he ate for breakfast/ lunch/ snack/ dinner amongst more. We also get photos when available.
The entire family at the childminders are very welcoming and caring towards my son and I feel at ease every time I leave him and go to work.
Thank you for being great!
I cannot rate or praise Sufia enough no matter what I write in this review; she is THAT good. I have had a lot of trouble digesting the fact that my son would need to eventually go to nursery. Every parent knows the struggle of having to leave their child on someone else's hands and Sufia knew to soothe that anxiety in me. I tried taking my child to three well established nurseries and after a few "settling in" days I was running for the mountains (fellow parents, please look around when you settle your baby - you may find your baby been fed with the same spoon as other babies and even baby medicine stored in the visitors toilet - I did in an "outstanding" rated nursery and I was horrified).
I then figured that a childminder would give my baby more attention and care and I really valued the continuation of a homely feeling for my son. Sufia provided and keeps to provide exactly that since day one. The happiness on my son's face when I drop him is remarkable and he clearly shows how annoyed he is every time I pick him up since he does not want to leave. Seeing this really alleviated any anxiety I had about leaving him with someone else and I trust that he is having a lovely time there. I can see how Sufia managed to establish a strong bond with my son and my son demonstrates the same for Sufia; what else can you ask for. I love how Sufia gives parents time to chat about their child's development and update us on what went on during the day (literally everything, from food, sleep, nappies, issues; she covers all and even follows up with a text for your records). Sufia has also been sharing so many parenting tips with me which have made a significant difference to how I cope with parenting (well I am a new mum and everything new seems scary). I have one too many things to praise Sufia on and to be honest no negatives at all. Sufia is extremely professional, she has a wonderful children's area, she keeps the number of children low enough so that she is able to really be there for the children, she has an assistant that is also very lovely, in terms of cleanliness I am very satisfied (considering my own OCD nature) and most importantly - NO nursery germs!!! We are currently in the process of looking for a new house to move at and one thing we made clear with my husband is that we are not moving anywhere too far from this childminder. I think this last statement will give you the all reassurance you need.
Sufia has been minding my daughter for the past three years and I have found her to be extremely reliable and trustworthy. I have left for work every morning knowing that she is in a caring and safe environment. Just being around Sufia's children and also the other children she looks after has benefited her enormously and I know she is fond of all of them. I have found Sufia's home to always be a pleasant, stimulating and a clean environment. Their day is filled with a wide variety of activities which helps them learn and have fun at the same time. Sufia has taken my daughter on various days out where I know and feel confident that she has been well supervised and had a lot of fun.
I have found Sufia to be an extremely capable individual. She is caring and nurturing but instilled good discipline in our daughter and has a great sense of fun. Our daughter has developed into a confident, sociable and caring individual since being under Sufia’s care. Sufia also encourages learning in a fun way. The children are well prepared in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
My daughter has started going to school since the past couple of months. During our first parent’s evening, her class teacher mentioned that my daughter’s development is at par with pupils who are a year older than her.
I have no hesitation in recommending Sufia to look after your children. I was more than satisfied with everything she did with my daughter and all the advice Sufia gave me as a first-time mother.
We are very happy with Sufia’s childminding services and we miss her and her family very much.
Sufia cared for our son from the age of 11 months until he was 2.5 years old and he has thrived during that time. With Sufia and her family's help he hit all the important milestones during this time - from walking to eating independently and many more.
When I went into labour with my second, Sufia welcomed our son early at her house and took care of him during my stay in hospital. She helped make him feel comfortable and at ease during what could have been a stressful time for him.
Before he could even speak, our son would point to the door early in the mornings to signal that he was ready to go to Sufia's.
And last but not least, our son loved Sufia's home-cooked lunches and dinners. Not even my own cooking can compete now!
