When I was looking for somewhere to look after my 7-month-old baby for just one day a week so I could work, I picked Sufia because of her Outstanding rating from Ofsted, but also because her references recommended her so highly, and because I warmed to her and her husband when we met to discuss her approach and contract.

Although my son has only been there one day a week, and for only a few months, he is obviously very comfortable with Sufia and her family, and has been loved and enjoyed by them in return.

One of the things which sets Sufia apart is her updates via WhatsApp, which mean I have been sent photos and videos during the day. She also uses it to provide a quick written record of the day, sleeps, bottles, etc.

I also like the fact that my son is around a group of children of a wide range of ages, and that Sufia's family take an active role in the caring - it means that it feels very much like a home from home.

Sufia has also been sensitive to how I'm doing, and I've appreciated the fact that she is never seems in a hurry to get the parent out of the door!

We are only leaving so that my children can attend the same (more local to me) nursery. I will be sad that Sufia doesn't get to see what my son does next, but I look forward to keeping in touch and keeping her updated.
