About Me
Hi, my name is Tracey. I live with my husband in a 3 bed semi detached in Spalding, within close walking distance of Spalding town, bus routes, train station and 4 of our local Primary schools.
Here we have a lovely playroom and undercover play area to allow use all year round as well as a slabbed garden area with established plants.
I became registered as a child minder in 2000. I was employed at a wonderful local pre-school as deputy manager for many years before becoming a partner and co-owner. I now childmind on a full term basis. I am the mother of 5 children and a tribe of grandchildren. I am passionate about my chosen profession and I am dedicated to the children and families who are in my care and continue to further my professional development and knowledge so that I can maintain my standards and continue to provide care of good quality.
Here at Step by Step I aim to provide all of the children in my care with a clean, safe, comfortable and homely environment in which they feel welcomed and valued enabling each child to grow in confidence and independence. I hope you will feel my home is a friendly extension of your own, where all children can explore, have fun and play, talk and learn together developing into happy, confident and independent individuals.
Children at Step by Step experience many opportunities for spontaneous learning and are actively encouraged and supported in developing and extending their interests and enabled to learn naturally through everyday experiences in familiar, caring and stimulating surroundings. By working in close partnership with you, your child will indeed be supported and encouraged as they move on towards their next development stage. Some activities will be planned but the majority will be child initiated.

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 23 years now. Previous to this I was employed at a wonderful local pre-school as deputy manager for many years before becoming a partner and co-owner. I am the mother of 5 children and a tribe of grandchildren. My Qualifications
I studied for and attained my
• BTEC LEVEL 3 Nursery nursing
• NVQ LEVEL 4 in Children’s Care Learning and Development
• BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE level 1 (BSL)
As well as a range of courses including Safeguarding Children in Lincolnshire and Paediatric First Aid. My training folder is available on request.
My Availability
I currently offer term time only contracts Mondays-Thursdays between the hours of 7:30-5:30. Additional hours maybe considered.
I currently drop off and collect from St Norberts school in Spalding. Other schools may be considered if logistically possible.
We currently attend numerous playgroup, toddler groups etc
Please note - Fridays i am available for morning school runs only

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I offer universal and extended funding for 3 year olds and the 15 hours funding for 2 year olds. Please contact me for further information or support.
My availability is always changing and i may be able to accomodate your requests if they fall outside of the times stated above.
