My Experience

My childcare experience ranges widely from babysitting babies through to teens, working as a Live In Nanny, a Part-Time Nanny, Home School Support and a Teaching Assistant.

As a Live-In Nanny I provided full care to 3 children aged 6-12 during the day, I also spent many evenings babysitting and putting the children to bed and had little trouble with this, finding the children were happy to go to bed without their parents present. I organised activities and trips, assessing the risks and safety before carrying these out as well as prepared healthy meals and ensured they completed educational tasks as requested by their parents. We spent a large amount of time outdoors when weather permitting and I consider myself to be imaginative and good at keeping children entertained.

I have vast amount of experience as a part-time nanny and babysitter, spanning from very young babies to teenagers so I feel confident in the care of all age groups and of multiple children. I have also acted as a Home School Support to provide guidance and aid learning while parents were working from home. We also spent a vast amount of time outdoors or on trips in the local area. I also have many young family members who I frequently give over night care to so am very aware of how to handle toddlers and babies at their different developmental stages.

I have also worked as a reception class Teaching and Learning Support Assistant within an infant school between my university terms. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the pupils development as I was given the responsibility of leading critical learning in Maths and reading, I was also entrusted to execute educational activities whilst encouraging problem solving through continuous provision. Being trusted with the children’s learning directly, I had to be particularly attentive to pupil’s specific needs and creatively adapt my teaching accordingly. This is demonstrative of the fact that I am wholly aware of the duty of care that childcare requires. I am also well trained in safeguarding.

My Qualifications

BA History from the University of Leeds. A levels; AAC. 10 GCSEs; 5 As, 5 Bs.

My Availability

I am available for evening and weekend babysitting as well as ad hoc daytime nannying. Due to my work in the creative industries I cannot commit to regular day time work but would be happy to discuss any requirements with families.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

My fees listed below are for 1 child so will be slightly increased for more children.
