About Us

Abacus Children's Day Nursery is a private nursery in Dalston, Cumbria. Our ethos is to provide a safe and friendly environment for you and your child with the opportunity to learn through play, within Ofsted guidelines. At Abacus, every child counts!.

The nursery is registered with Ofsted for 49 children from three months to five years old.

There are two main children’s rooms with direct access to a secure outdoor play area.

All meals are freshly prepared on the premises using local produce where available. Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner is included in the session price, along with nappies and toiletries.

Please contact us to arrange a visit to enable you to see for yourself the high quality of care we provide.

We operate an open door policy and you are welcome to attend at any time of day to see the nursery fully operational.
