Hello, I'm Kira!
I'm a 28 year old, enthusiastic, hard working qualified Nursery Manager who is currently looking to become a nanny for children aged 0 and upwards. I have known since a young age that I wanted to be a Nanny as I have a strong passion for working with children and a particular interest for supporting children with additional needs. I worked my way up from apprentice, to nursery practitioner and room leader and onto a Nursery Manager of 3.5 years which I have absolutely loved doing. I feel I am ready for my next step in my career of becoming a Nanny! I love to teach and watch children develop in their learning and their play. I have a full UK driving license so I'm happy to commute. I am a very creative person, I love music, art and I play the drums and ukulele. I'm also a lover of the great outdoors and my favourite season is Autumn! I'm very comfortable with animals, I have a Pug named Meg and a lizard named Henry who I love very much! My Experience
I have been around children all my life, looking after siblings and family members and I have been working professionally with children for 11 years. I now have experience of managing an entire preschool and nursery working with a small staff team and a total of 42 children on role. I am a confident communicator and have built fantastic relationships with the children and families at my setting. I have undergone so much relevant training such as first aid, senco, autism, behaviour management, risk assessments, safeguarding and I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCo for my current setting.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 qualified in Childcare and Education. Level 3 first aid certificate and I have training certificates in lots of aspects of childcare such as SENCO, designated safeguarding lead, behaviour management, Autism training and Makaton training. I am also the Nursery Manager of my current workplace. I am also ofcourse DBS checked recently in 2023.
My Availability
I am available Monday - Friday full time but can be flexible with days and hours if requested.
