My name is Amber, I am 27 years old and currently work as a room leader and deputy manager at a local nursery setting.
I work specifically within the 2-3 year old room, however due to the nature of the job I have experience with all ages from 4 months - 5 years and experience with older children in previous roles.
I have the ability to plan fun, exciting and age stage appropriate activities to suit the individual needs of the children. I love to get stuck in and have fun with the children and not afraid to get my hands dirty and get involved with trying new experiences.
I have experience with encouraging healthy eating and cooking and preparing well balanced meals and snacks for the children.
I can carry out housekeeping tasks and can sort children’s washing and other errands required.
My Experience
I have experience working with children of all ages and feel confident with looking after multiple children at one time. Due to my experience of working within fast paced nurseries I am used to keeping busy.
I have under taken courses whilst working including food hygiene, fire safety, safeguarding, allergy training, fire training, first aid and other training courses.
I have worked as a residential support worker for children in the care system and through this have had the chance to do further training to support me in this.
