About Us

Downside Nursery provides 'outstanding' sessional day care, and is registered for 35 children between the ages of 2 to 5 years. It is open during term times between 9.00am and 3.45pm for 38 weeks each year. A breakfast club and lunch-time club are offered for those who wish to extend their mornings.

The nursery currently has 8 members of staff. One has qualified teacher status (QTS), one is a Graduate with Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), four are qualified to NVQ level 3, two are qualified to level 2, working towards NVQ level 3. Currently, all staff are formally qualified. All members of staff hold valid safeguarding and paediatric first aid certificates.
