My Summary
About Me
My name is Temnit. I am originally from Eritrea, and I was born and raised in Italy. I am a mother of three wonderful girls and currently 38 years old.
I am a responsible, mature, and experienced nanny/carer, particularly when it comes to supporting the care of babies, children, and vulnerable individuals. I have over 10 years of experience working with children in both full-time and part-time nanny roles, including sole charge and mother’s help positions, caring for children from infancy up to 10 years old.
I am passionate about working with children and take great satisfaction in supporting their development, learning, and imagination through play and everyday activities. I believe children thrive when they are encouraged to explore the world in a safe, structured, and engaging environment.
I am firm but fair, and I always aim to build warm, trusting relationships with the children in my care while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
I am able to:
* Follow established family routines or collaborate to create suitable daily routines
* Prepare simple, nutritious meals for children
* Support children’s learning and development through play and outdoor activities
* Engage children in creative, educational, and age-appropriate activities
* Work independently using my own initiative
* Spend time outdoors in all weather conditions and organise varied activities
* Maintain reliability, punctuality, and clear communication with parents
I understand the importance of trust, safety, and consistency when caring for children, and I take my responsibilities very seriously.
I currently hold an enhanced DBS check (registered on the Update Service).
I am not currently OFSTED registered, but I am willing to register if required by a family.

We love Timnit so much. Timnit looked after our daughter one day a week for around one year before we had to change arrangements due to external factors. She was always on time, always positive and helpful and we had complete trust and faith that our daughter would have a great day with her. Timnit comes with lots of experience and helped us navigate some developmental stages, which was so helpful. Timnit always put our daughter’s needs first and was fantastic at establishing a happy routine. I am really looking forward to being able to ask for Timnit’s help again, we couldn’t recommend her enough.

Temnit was the first babysitter we had for our five month old daughter - we were keen to find someone calm, relaxed, and responsible. Temnit is all those things and more! Even coming just once or twice a week, she immediately built a wonderful relationship with our daughter, and we both really trusted her judgement and guidance. In particular she helped us with improving sleep (both daytime and nighttime). She also helped build our confidence as parents, which was so valuable and appreciated.

Thank you so much. 🙂
Timnit has been the most amazing nanny to our son. She has looked after him from when he was eight months old to one year, taking him for two mornings a week. She is incredibly experienced and professional, as well as punctual, flexible, and so kind, attentive and generous. Our son bonded with her so fast and loves his time with her. They go out to play groups and so many fun activities. I have seen how he has become more confident socialising with other children and being around new people under her calm and gentle care. Timnit has also helped us with meal times, sleep and successfully getting our son onto a one nap schedule. We love her approach of teamwork with us, as parents. She is communicative and regularly shares updates of what our son is getting up to. Timnit goes above and beyond, for example coming to the doctor with me when our son was ill and helping me ask all the right questions. She has provided invaluable warmth and support over the past months, I can’t recommend her highly enough. We will miss her hugely now our son is at nursery.
