Squib and Squidge Childminding - based in Connahs Quay - serving Flintshire
I am a CIW registered, qualified and well expereinced childminder who offers a high quality, caring and stimulating childcare environment to babies, toddlers, pre school and school age children. I run a 24/7 unique wraparound childcare service. Employing 2 Registered Childminders and 2 Childminding Assistant. During a recent inspection I have been found excellent in all areas - inspection report is availabe for parents to read.
We offer a safe home from home childcare environment from our large family home situated in Connahs Quay. We offer childcare to cover weekdays, weekends, early starts (6am), evenings as well as overnight childcare.
We are ideally positioned in the community to provide before and after school care, as well as wrap around nursery provision, catering for several local primary schools. We have two main reception rooms which are fully safety checked, welcoming and of course fully kitted out with toys and activities for babies to children aged up to 12 years old.
My Experience
We are qualified childminders and registered with CIW, as well as being PACEY members. We have nearly 20 years experience of working with children, from babies to teenagers, in various setting such as our backgrounds include education, social care, youth service, health service, nursery and play work settings. As well we have the experience of bringing up our own children!
My Qualifications
We hold level 3 and level 5 children's care learning and development, play work and youth work qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates, food hygiene certificates and children's safeguarding training, as well as completing relevant childminding training, as well as being educated to degree level. I am currently studying towards an MA in education and early years.
My Availability
We have immediate availability for collection from local primary schools, weekends and overnight care.
We are able to provide early starts and late finishes.
We are able to offer a flexible service tailored to you and your child's needs. We realise that not every parent works 9 to 5, so we are able to offer a more flexible and tailored childcare service, we are able to offer weekend, evening and overnight availability, as well as early starts and through the the day. We are also happy to provide ad hoc care for your child if we have availability.

What a fantastic childminer. My child has been attending for over 3 years now. Loves it. The days, hours and times that i work, mean that some flexibility is needed. Never been an issue to squib and squidge always able to meet my work rota's. Definitely an extended family for us.
Regular feedback on app with photos.
During Covid with schools being closed and me being a keyworker, squib and squidge have been able to help with childcare and ensuring children within settings are also safe too.
My daughter is always happy knowing she is going to spend time with squib and squidge.
