I am an experienced NNEB Nursery nurse - recently taken on a childminding assistant role Tuesday- Thursday term time only starting April 2024. I am self employed so can therefore take on ad hoc / emergency nanny roles / babysitting. I have use of my own car which is insured for business use so o can help cover school pick ups if these fit in with my own girls routine. …
I have nearly 30 years of childcare experience in a variety of childcare settings. My most enjoyable times were sole charge Nanny positions.
I enjoy cooking and encouraging children to cook and try new things. I also love arts and craft activities and planning trips/outings.
I enjoy going for walks in the countryside and will link up with other Mum friends & nannies in the area to provide added support and interest for the children in my care.
I obtained my NNEB certificate in 1998 after 2 years of full-time study at College. My latest DBS’s are dated 2022 for volunteering within my daughters school & for Barnardos (Essex Child & Family Wellbeing Service) I have been Ofsted registered as a nanny in the past but cancelled this registration once I went on maternity in 2012. I'd happily become registered again if need be. Currently I’m in the process of becoming Ofsted registered as a childminding assistant & a new DBS has been applied for. I have two girls of my own aged 11 & 7 who attend two local schools & various after school activities.
I have a portfolio containing certificates and references from some of the families I have worked for, and will gladly send copies to any family on request..

Lisa is very professional and understanding in her role. We had a good half hour conversation about the care for my 2.6year old who was unwell at the time of booking, Lisa was very proactive about the situation and discussed with us what she had planned for the day. Her support that day was crucial for us and our little boy adored her company. She is one such person we felt we could leave our boy alone if any case needed as she is so considerate and takes care of him as her own as her experience and qualification speaks in her work. She babysat my 2-year-old boy on a few weekend sessions last month. She is considerate, responsive, and flexible. We chatted about plans for activities and preparations of meals etc before she comes over. She was always on time, and open to some schedule changes requested by me. While babysitting, she informed me of the activities and conditions of my boy via messages. My boy was happy with spending time with her (and her lovely little ones, on a few occasions). Highly recommend Lisa if you look for a nanny for a little one.
