About Me
Hi, my name is Estelle and I am a Registered Childminder based in Calcot. My own children have now flown the nest so I am able to give my Chirpy Chicks Childcare family my full attention. The baby of our family is a cockapoo who is now 7 years old and is always up for a fuss and the occasional treat.
I have a bright and airy playroom area with a covered outside play area to enable children the freedom of inside and outside play whatever the weather.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and use this to losely plan activities for children covering all areas of learning. Being a small setting I have the freedom to follow each child's natural interest and support their individual curiosity of the world around them. I am lucky enough to have Linear Park woodland and fields on the doorstep and we often explore the open spaces taking our dog, a ball and good book with us too. I also meet with other childminders and other outdoor learning through play centres for the children in my care to be part of a larger community and broaden their opportunities for learning about our environment.
I work closely with parents to form a good working relationship to ensure the best childcare experience for each child.
My Experience
I have 28 years of childcare experience since having my son. During that time I have worked in child focused job roles. I have worked with children from 0 - 5 in family group settings and supported parents through Home-Start UK. I worked for 9 years in primary schools as a Teaching Assistant covering year groups from Reception to Year 6.
For nearly 10 years now, I have been enjoyed working as a childminder running Chirpy Chicks and seeing children develop through their areas of learning. I keep up to date with current childcare changes and inspiration for new ideas by listening to webinars, keeping up to date with courses and of course by talking to parents and observing the children who I currently work with.

I participate in webinars through Childcare.co.uk to keep up to date with current teaching practises.
My Availability
My availability is variable depending on the day of the week with children booking different days and times, so please contact me to see if I can accommodate your needs.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
My private childminding prices are based on £8.50 per hour per child.
This includes healthy drinks and snacks during the day.
Any baby food and formula milk would need to be provided by parents.
All nappies and creams would also need to be provided by the parents.
Parents to provide lunch either as a packed lunch or to be re-heated/simple quick cooking.

My babysitting prices are based on an hourly rate of £12 for one child. For two children my rate is £14 per hour, three children £16 per hour.

Choosing Estelle as our childminder was honestly one of the best decisions we ever made. She looked after our son for four wonderful years, from when he was a little toddler through to starting school as a happy, confident five-year-old.
Estelle became such a special part of his childhood, and of our family. She has a real passion for the outdoors, and our son absolutely loved his adventures at Forest School and exploring the Rose Garden. He came home with so many stories, muddy clothes and wonderful memories!
What makes Estelle truly special is the love, kindness and patience she gives to the children in her care. She created such a warm, nurturing and happy environment where our son felt completely safe, loved and encouraged to be himself. As parents, knowing he was so happy and so well cared for meant absolutely everything to us.
Saying goodbye after four years was incredibly emotional. Estelle is so much more than a childminder to us, she genuinely feels like part of our family. We will always be grateful for the love, care, adventures and memories she has given our son during such an important part of his life.
We cannot thank Estelle enough and would recommend her from the bottom of our hearts. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her caring for their child. ❤️
