Hi….My name is Paula Clifford-Gill I'm 50 years old.
I'm a Ofsted Registered Good Child Minder, Living in Birstall all my life.
I've been a Childminder for 24 years.
I was originally registered with Social Services before Ofsted was introduced.
Prior to that I was a Level 3 Qualified Hairdresser with City & Guilds, I worked on Queens Road Leicester & have a Good reference also from this Job.
I live with my Husband & my daughter (23) who are very friendly & welcome everyone into our home, both are DBS checked.
I Live at 249 Wanlip Lane, Birstall .
My Son is 28 he has his own home & works for Cahms Crisis Team also DBS checked.
My setting is a Strict Non Smoking Environment .
I ran a Parent & Toddler group in Birstall, i’ve ran this for the last 12 years.
The past 13 years I've done voluntary Charity work raising Tens of Thousands in Birstall, for Leicester hospitals, Children’s Cancer ward, oncology ward, Leicester hospices, Wishes for kids & other various local charities.
I raised a large amount of money to help women of Nepal with Health checks post pregnancy, supported by Christene Ang, consultant of Oncology.
we’ve sent a vast amount of surgical instruments & machines to support this cause.
I have Very good references from parents.

My relationship with parents is very good this gives both parent & child confidence in me & my setting.
I provide a Loving & caring environment with suitable sensory, creative & active play for children of all ages to learn through play.
I have a fun environment & the children Love coming!!
I treat all the children in my care the same as I would expect others to treat my own, warm & caring.
Children have a good safe, space to play where they can explore with a wide range of toys, books, imaginary play a toy kitchen & dressing up.
Also a Large outdoor separate secure play area full outdoor equipment & toys for all ages, Play house, pirate ship, scooters, ride on’s,rockers, slides, etc.... Children also have their own patio area with a table,chairs & bench.
I am Very reliable & work 7.30am- 6pm.

My Experience
I've cared for a numerous amount of children, all ages, race & religions over the past 24 years.
I'v been going Riverside primary school also for 24 years as I used to take my son there & I was also a pupil there too!
I'm very well known at the school & in the village in general.
I have a positive relationship with teachers & Ta's.
I work closely & listen to parents for the child’s individual needs.
I visit Local parks, Lakes, Libraries & general walks around taking in the outside world.
We have picnics out & at home weather permitted.
I am FEEE Registered so I can take funding for 9 Month, 2 & 3 year olds for 15/30 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year for those who qualify.
I also take computer & universal credit vouchers.
I have cared for children as young as 6 weeks old.
All my certificates & qualifications are always up to date.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
£4.00hour per child including snack & unlimited drinks
Morning sessions also available under 5s £4.50 per hour.
Lunch is available at an additional £2.50 per child.

My little boy has been with Paula since he was 9 months old when I had to return to work. Paula would send me photos so I could see he was happy which really helped a worried mum. He's learnt so much and has made some good friends. Paula has made us feel like part of her family and my son has a really nice bond with her. For anyone wanting a homely, loving setting for their little one, I would recommend Paula in a flash!!

My son has been going to Paula's for the last four years.He has always absolutely loved going and has always talked very warmly of Paula and his experiences of being with Paula. Paula made my son feel very welcome and Im sure him being with Paula helped him settle at school more quickly.Paula has always been on hand to help with emergencies and because her vast charity work she has a fantastic reputation in our community.My son is now reaching the age where he no longer needs to go . Infact last year he continued going one night per week just because he loved going to Paula's so much and feeling so included in the lovely atmosphere she provides. We will always keep in touch with her.she is fab.

Paula was the first person I had to leave my daughter with just before she turned 1 and she made it so comfortable and pleasant for me as I was very nervous about leaving her with other people at first. Lola absolutely loved it there and didn't even look back when I dropped her off at the door, and made so many friends with not only the younger children but the older ones too! Paula really does treat them as if they are her own and I wish we didn't have to leave to go somewhere a little closer to my work. Thank you again Paula xxxx
