About Me
Hi I’m Andrea & I work alongside my wife Irrah @ Little Friends Childminders!
We offer childcare for children in the Early Years age group, aged from 6 months to 3 years old. We provide a small, unique and personal setting. We do not offer pre-school/ primary school drop offs/collections.
We can offer all eligible children funded places, stretched to cover the 44 weeks our setting is open throughout the year. We also offer term time only places. We can offer free funded places from the term after a child turns 9 months old.
We have a large playroom, quiet sleep room, toilet, outdoor garden area & indoor soft play room all dedicated to childminding.
We offer many different activities and experiences within our setting for children to enjoy such as weekly music/story groups & monthly Forest school sessions. We go on regular day trips/outings whenever possible such as trips to Twycross zoo, Conkers, National Memorial Arboretum, National Trusts & RAF, Cosford to name but a few, providing the children with many opportunities to regularly socialise with others in the local community & explore the world around them. We have a fully insured 7 seater car.
We work to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and also use Tapestry (an online learning journal) to share children's individual areas of development with parents. We provide daily diaries for all children & take lots of photos every day to share with parents to see what their children have enjoyed doing at our setting.
We provide all meals made fresh daily & drinks are provided at all times throughout the day for children to freely help themselves.
My Experience
Between us both we have over 40 years experience working in childcare & have been childminding together for the last 21 years! Before we became childminders we had experience of working in private daycare nurseries, being a live in nanny, providing overnight care & many many hours babysitting for several different families!
We were chairpersons of our local childminding group for 13 years.
My Qualifications
We are both fully qualified holding a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood studies & a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years.
We are both full members of the Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).

Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Everything we offer at our setting is included as part of your child’s contract, for example all meals/snacks/drinks, daily diaries, photos, digital tapestry account, weekly toddler group fees & all costs of any day trips etc.
All funded hours are completely free of charge. Any other additional hours that are booked outside of funded hours are charged at £8 per hour.

From the day we went to view their setting, we knew we had found the right place for our little girl. The warmth of the welcome, the calm, homely atmosphere and the obvious care they put into everything made it an easy decision. The planning and thoughtfulness that goes into each day's activities is amazing, and we can already see her developing beautifully in their care. She adores them both and is usually so excited at drop-off.
They made the transition from being at home to being in their care completely seamless. As a parent returning to work, I can't thank them enough for how much that put my mind at ease. Knowing she is so well looked after, cuddled when she needs it and encouraged when she's ready to explore, has made all the difference.
Andy and Irrah are wonderful at keeping us in the loop, with regular updates through the day, lots of photos and a detailed care diary. We feel involved in her day.
Her days are full of learning through play, fresh air, outdoor exploring and plenty of fun. Their routine shows real experience and works so well with the little ones.
What stands out most is how genuinely they care. She is treated as an individual, not just one of the children, and it shows in her confidence and how happy she is. They are professional, reliable and kind.
We are so grateful to have found them and would recommend them without hesitation. We feel incredibly lucky to have them looking after our little girl. Thank you both for everything you do.

I genuinely don’t think we could ever put into words how grateful we are that we found Andy and Irrah.
From the very beginning, they have been amazing. They absolutely bent over backwards to squeeze our daughter in for us and we will always be so grateful that they did.
They put so much into the children they look after. The love and care they give them, the activities they plan and the places they take them are just incredible. Our daughter has already been to RAF Cosford, Twycross Zoo and on so many lovely days out. They genuinely go above and beyond to give the children amazing experiences and you can see how much of their heart and soul goes into what they do.
They’ve also been amazing with us as parents. We get lovely updates and photos throughout the day, they always tell us what she’s been doing and they’ve supported and reassured us through the whole transition of me going back to work. Knowing she’s so happy and well cared for has made such a huge difference.
But I think the biggest thing for us is seeing how our daughter is with them. The way she looks at Andy and Irrah, how happy she is when she sees them and how settled and comfortable she is with them means absolutely everything. We know when we leave her that she is loved and cared for, and there really isn’t anything more we could ask for.
We say to each other all the time how lucky we are to have found them and how lucky our daughter is to have them in her life.
They really are so much more than just childcare to us and we will forever be grateful for everything they do.

Our daughter, now two and half has been attending Little Friends since she was 10 months old. Andy and Irrah are exceptional and they have created the most wonderful setting where the children learn and develop whilst having so much fun along the way. The activities and outings that they do with the children are fantastic and they have an amazing selection of toys and games at the house. All aspects of the care provided by Andy and Irrah are great, from the food provided at the setting to the daily feedback provided by diaries and the closed facebook group. Equally the support and advice provided to us on areas such as potty training has been invaluable.
The Little Friends family provides everything you could want in a childminder and frankly we are honoured to have them involved in our daughters upbringing.
