About Me
My name is Evy Demetri, I'm in my early 40s married and have two lovely girls of my own. We live in the Alwoodley area of Leeds only a few minutes walk from the library, play groups and local parks.
I have a long standing history of working in the childcare profession, working for both the private and public sectors. Through the years I have gained lots of valuable experience, knowledge and skills, with my most recent post at Leeds City Council as a Child Centre Assistant Manager.
Caring for children is something I have always found rewarding, and it has always been an ambition to run my own nursery, becoming a childminder is the beginning of that journey.
My Experience
In my early years starting in childcare I worked at private nurseries gaining invaluable experience, then I wanted more of a challenge and moved into more managerial roles at Leeds City Council, where I was also Ofsted registerd and responsible for a centre. I therefore have extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Safeguarding.
I decided to childmind in 2015 and have never looked back since.
My Qualifications
I am of course Ofsted registered (reg no. EY494262, on the 9th October 2015) and fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, previously known as CRB) checked, as is my husband. I also work with an experienced assistant who also has a DBS. All three of us have First Aid Paediatric training and certification.
I am fully insured as a member of the Professional Association for Children and Early Years – PACEY.
I hold a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies, and have completed both Child Protection Levels 1 & 2 as well as a GNVQ in Health and Social Studies.
My Availability
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
7.30-4.30/5 term time only
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
TERM TIME ONLY
Hourly rate depends on age and funding banding
Breakfast, lunch, teatime, snacks and drinks provided. fees include any days out etc.
My Local Schools
