I’m a mum of five (yes, five!) and proud dog mum too. My children are now aged 13 to 24, and while I’m incredibly proud of the people they’ve become, I won’t pretend the house feels a little quieter these days, and I genuinely miss having little ones around.
For over two decades, raising my children was my full-time job, and I gave it everything. That hands-on experience the patience, the routines, the cuddles, the chaos is something no qualification can replicate. Now I’m ready to bring all of that warmth and care into your family’s home.
I offer childcare in your own home, so your little one stays in familiar surroundings with someone who truly loves what they do. I’m a driver with my own car, making school runs and day trips easy.
I’m available Monday to Thursday, making me a great fit for families needing reliable, regular weekday care.
I am happy to undertake a full DBS check for your complete peace of mind because when it comes to your child, trust isn’t optional.
Above all, I’m kind, patient, and genuinely great with children and I have 20+ years of proof to back that up.
My Experience
Working with children isn’t something I fell into it’s all I’ve ever known. Growing up, my mum was a childminder, so a home full of little ones was completely normal to me. That environment shaped me from the start.
After school I studied childcare at college, before going on to work in a nursery school for three years gaining real, hands-on experience with young children in a professional setting. I then spent a year au pairing, which gave me a wonderful insight into caring for children within a family home environment, much like the role I’m offering now.
I then dedicated myself fully to raising my own five children now teenagers and young adults. And the circle continues I’m already a proud grandma to two grandchildren.
My Qualifications
Whilst I have no formal qualifications I do have over 27 years hands on experience with children of all ages. I will update my DBS
