About Me
Hello! My Name is Vicki and I am an Ofsted registered childminder who lives in Malden Rushett, chessington. I live with my husband and two adult sons.
I have been childminding and nannying since 2008.
I love being outside and going on adventures.
We go out in all weathers and love nothing more than putting on the wet weather gear and wellies and jumping in puddles! We go to lots of different places such as Claremont gardens and polesden lacey to walk in the woods. We visit chessington zoo, hobbledown and sometimes head over to the lookout discovery centre in Bracknell, so if you are looking for a home from home childcare setting that gets maximum outing opportunities then this is the perfect solution!
We do lots of arts and crafts and I like to see myself as the ‘fun auntie’ type of person who will care for your child like they are one of my own.
I offer lots of learning opportunities along the way, learning through play at home with structured activities as well as visiting different playgroups.
We attend rhyme time at the library which the children love and we have a lovely network of friends who also childmind and so the children make friends with the children they see regularly. These are great opportunities for socialising for the little ones but having the added benefit of smaller ratios and home from home day care but without attending a busy nursery.
I do however understand the importance of down time, so as much as we get out and about, we do have days where we stay home and do chilled activities and learning through play. Our day is child led, so depending on the children’s energy levels and interests I let that guide our time.
I absolutely love my job and always look forward to meeting new children to care for and start their learning journey through their most formative years.
We have two gorgeous little dogs called Dobby (pug) and Eddie( frenchie) which I’ve had both since 8 weeks and super silly and child friendly!
