About Me
I have 2 children. I say Children but my eldest, a son is almost 27 years old and my daughter is 19 yrs old,
I consider myself fit and healthy, I am a member of a gym and exercise regulary. I enjoy long walks and leave my car at home as much as possible.
I would describe myself as a nurturing and patient person, young at heart with a good sense of fun and adventure. I'm a people person,sociable and a bit of a chatterbox!
My favourite things to do are meeting up with friends and family for lunches out or walks, cycling, baking and reading books in bed at the end of the day.
As my children are growing up its nice that I can still enjoy working with younger children.
My Experience
I am NNEB Qualified ( equivalent to level 3 childcare). I currently work part time as a child medical support carer. I work shifts, days and nights so my availability is quite restricted at present but I wish to keep my profile on this platform. Previously I worked as a teaching assistant in a local school for 28yrs. I left to work as a nanny in Corfu for 7 months and on my return started my present position.
I quaIlified as a Nursery Nurse straight from Holmfirth High School in 1988. My training was at Huddersfield Technical College. I have worked for many families over a 32 year period in the Holme valley and my most recent nanny post ended last Summer sadly.
Apart from one nanny job where I had to leave on maternity with my first child I have never left a post. I pride myself on the fact that when I start a job I am there until no longer needed. I have built great relations with the families I have worked with over the years.( One child was a bridesmaid at my wedding and her parents are godparents to my son.)
