About Me
A registered childminder who is also an ex-lawyer and a qualified Teacher, I am a single mum to a 10 year old daughter. I have tutored, supply taught and worked in two charities supporting children. I have also been a nanny for children, from babies to wraparound for those in Year 6.
I love inspiring children through play, engaging with them and helping them with their development, in all aspects. I am very creative and enjoy art, baking, making candles and soaps and anything resin. I also like to encourage children to be sociable and to love one another, understanding each other’s strengths and vulnerabilities. I’d be delighted to meet you and understand your child’s needs.
My Experience
I have taught all year groups from Reception to Year 8. I used to be a specialist in Year 6. Since having my daughter, I have tutored for several years and also worked with Young Carers aged 5 to 18 for a year before taking on some nannying roles. I also help at crèche and in a toddler. I have also nannyed for several children - from babies to school aged.
My Qualifications
10 GCSES - all at A or A*, A levels in French, History and Latin. BA (Hons) in French and Politics (2.1), PGDL and LPC before qualifying and practising Corporate Law in a Magic Circle Law Firm. GTP completed at an 'Outstanding' primary school. Taught in independent and state schools. Also taught my own daughter to read and write and know how to teach phonics and maths in fun and engaging ways. I have completed 30 online childcare modules and can show you the certificates but most of all, I just love the everyday learning we all experience.
My Availability
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£7.50 but do intend to offer funded hours. I will need to charge a disposables fee on top of this to ensure your child(ren) have high quality food, crafts and experiences whilst with me.
